How to make an appointment
Before contacting us, please consider the following.
Check it's not an emergency.
Call 111 or 999 for urgent medical help if you have any of these as your request will not be seen immediately.
- Crushing chest pain and tightness
- New drooping on one side of the face, slurred speech, difficulty raising your arms, weakness, or numbness on one side of your body.
- Severe difficulty breathing
- Heavy bleeding that won't stop
- Severe injuries
- Feeling suicidal, wanting to harm yourself, or others.
Booking Appointments
Appointments can be booked on the same day – ring between 8:00am and 10:30am.
Our telephone lines are open from 8:00am to 6:30pm each weekday,. We advise patients to telephone the surgery as early as possible each day.

We will ask you questions about why you need an appointment and will sometimes direct you to an alternative healthcare practitioner – this may be a pharmacist, dentist, optician, or other local service.
Routine pre-bookable appointments can be requested with the doctor and Practice Nurse, Health Care Assistant or Phlebotomist. This will enable us to offer you an appointment at a time more suitable to your requirements.
Pre-bookable appointments get booked quickly, so please book as early as possible.
eConsult
The practice offers ‘eConsult’. How does eConsult work?
eConsult lets patient’s of the practice consult with a GP online by completing a quick form that is sent and reviewed by the practice. The eConsult service also directs the patient to self-help, pharmacy advice and local self-referral services. The patient can also request administration services, ie. request MED3/Sick Notes, copies of medical records etc. Patients will receive a response with 48 hours.
Telephone Advice from the Doctor
If you would prefer telephone advice from the doctor, please phone before 10:30am.
You will need to leave a message with the Receptionist, who will then add your name to our Triage list. The Doctor will then call you back when they are free.
Requesting a Home Visit
Home visits are intended for housebound patients only. Requests for a home visit should be made, where possible, before 10:30am in the morning. The Receptionist will ask for details of the illness to help the Doctor plan their visit. If you need an urgent visit, please make this clear when you speak to the Receptionist. Home visits are carried out at the discretion of the doctor.
When the Surgery is closed, patients are advised to telephone the NHS 111 Wales Service number on 111. For dental emergencies out of hours, please call 01633 744387.
If you have a severe injury, difficulty in breathing, chest pain or severe bleeding, dial 999 and ask for an ambulance.
